Proletariat is looking to bring a new Finance Coordinator to assist with the daily operations in our Finance department. This individual will be working closely with the Director of Finance and will be primarily responsible for facilitating the processing of all financial transactions as well as producing the monthly reporting pack. This role will be a dynamic part of a fast-moving and growing team which will benefit from a candidate who is flexible and open-minded, while being detail oriented and capable of helping create accounting processes for a fast growing company

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating accounts receivables and accounts payables daily processes and maintaining records of vendor relations and statuses
  • Computing and processing accruals and prepaid expenses
  • Preparing payroll and expense journals and reconciliation of benefit accounts
  • Supervising the reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
  • Preparation on monthly financial statements and finance pack
  • Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by maintaining compliance documentation and maintaining historical records by filing documents electronically
  • Staying informed on bookkeeping, tax filing, HR standards and other related government regulations and developing and documenting policies and procedures
  • Working with Director of Finance in forecasting income and expenses
  • Anticipating and evaluating business needs to make sure that financial organization and systems appropriately support the company’s growth
  • Assisting with special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of related experience in a finance role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or CPA preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP, accounting theory, principles, and practices
  • Ability to describe accounting systems and processes in written correspondence and in procedure manual format
  • Expert in Excel and knowledge of Quickbooks preferred but not essential.
  • Strong priority management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
