High Level

3D Artist is responsible for creating executing concept art of; and creating memorable environments, objects, and set pieces for an action & science fiction setting. They will work with the Art team, Level Designer and Game Designer to populate areas with cool stuff~!

This is a full time position for 9~ milestone months.

Responsibilities

  • Creating low poly 3D objects and hard surface models to populate the world.
  • Collaborate with the Level Designer to place objects in a pleasing way in our environments.
  • Work with the Art Team to request concepts and textures for your models.
  • Work with the Game Designer to place set piece moments.
  • Work with the Effects Artist and Programmers to animate set-piece sequences.

Qualifications

  • Contributed major design decisions in at least 1 shipped game title or mod.
  • Strong visual design skills and experience working closely with artists.
  • Ability to work well within a dynamic, cross-discipline, iterative team environment.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Bonus

  • Can enjoy fast-paced action games or fighting games.
  • Good understanding of anatomy.
  • Experience with Gamemaker Studio 2
  • Prior familiarity with TrenchBroom or similar "BSP"-style level tools. (ProBuilder, GTKRadiant, QuArK, Hammer etc)
  • Experience creating characters for platformer or fighting games/mods (such as MUGEN, etc).
  • Reasonable experience working with an entirely remote team.
  • Familiarity with various bug tracker system(s) and version control repos.
