We offer an incredible, full-stack esport platform—game integrations, team building tools, leagues, tournaments, and schedules—and our software products tie everything together into a cohesive experience.
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to implement major brand & content initiatives that advance PlayVS’ High School growth & retention and product adoption. Reporting into our C-Level, you will contribute to our overall marketing strategy & roadmap, lead creative development, and execute multi-marketing channels to educate, engage, and activate customers. In order to be successful, you’ll partner cross functionally with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Customer Experience, and League Operations to activate innovative marketing initiatives across our entire customer ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Drive PlayVS’ marketing strategy, creative development (inc design) and activation via integrated marketing campaigns, content development, thought leadership, industry partnerships, educational workshops, and events (virtual and in-person)
Drive the roadmap to amplify content efforts across digital marketing channels owned and paid (Website, Email, Discord, Twitch, & Twitter, among others)
Partner with Leadership and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Customer Success, Customer Experience, and League Operations to develop integrated campaigns
Manage marketing budget and assist with forecasting
Utilize research and analytics insights to inform brand & content strategy and planning. Become an expert who understands our audience
Manage PR strategy and communications through an external agency
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of relevant Marketing Generalist experience; Brand Marketing, Content Strategy, Creative Development, and Performance Marketing
Proven experience influencing and executing across cross functional teams
Possesses marketing experience with a tech company or a growing startup
Preferred Qualifications:
Video gaming and/or esports industry experience
Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills; both written and verbal
History of developing content that resonates with the desired audience and drives them to action
A combination of left- and right-brained skills, from storytelling to systematic thinking
Can write from scratch, edit existing copy, and think beyond the written word with input from multiple team members
Penchant for long-term thinking paired with quick action
Marketing operations experience and interest in improving processes
