PlayStation is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated VM and Cloud Strategy Manager to join our team. We’re looking for someone to help build our long-term Virtual Machine, cloud strategy. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of business, technology and operations aspects of providing virtual machines as a cloud computing service.
This role is responsible for defining product plans and strategies that offer outstanding experiences to our subscribers, making PlayStation the platform of choice among consumers. This role will work with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and analytics to define product plans, product-market fit, go-to-market strategies, and feature and functionality recommendations for next-gen service offerings. This involves developing a clearly articulated strategy and execution plan that benefits our subscribers while delivering on desired business outcomes. S/he will define critical metrics for the business and lead teams to track and strategically react to business performance to drive business growth. Proven mastery of verbal and written communication skills is very important, as s/he will lead communication with leadership, key partners across a global organization and publishing partners.
Responsibilities
- Generating complex analyses and scenario planning for executive recommendation and decision-making
- Gathering, synthesizing and analyzing relevant data to inform mid and long-term strategy in virtual machine strategy
- Partnering with internal & external stakeholders to generate business cases and models
- Summarizing highly complex model assumptions and output into presentations for senior management and executives.
- Building easy to understand financial models that can represent multiple complex scenarios
- Being a liaison between technology partners and business units to create a holistic view of complex challenges
Required Experiences/Skills
- 8 – 12 years experience working in related fields
- Deep knowledge of Excel and can build extensive complex models
- Understanding of hardware considerations and constraints
- Understanding of business models for cloud service providers – keys to profitability, cost drivers, likely changes in response to technological evolution or further maturation of the marketplace
Preferred Experiences/Skills
- Experience in BD, sales or finance in a major cloud organization, or management consulting with projects in related fields
- Knowledge and understanding of cloud software infrastructure (operating systems, networking, management)
