Player Reliability Engineer Intern

San Diego, CA

Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking for a Player Reliability Engineer Intern to join our established, high performance team in San Diego, CA. Our ideal candidate is hardworking and passionate about this field.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop code to enhance existing tools or create new tools to help in SIE’s observability area.
  • Understand front-end components to automate user behavior testing.
  • Create design documents and present them to the team for proposed work/solution.
  • Understand and Apply best practices either in terms of coding, testing, deployment to existing or newly created solutions.
  • Participate in daily stand-up and regular meetings to share project updates.
  • Demo project work at critical phases.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and analyze existing code.
  • Experience with any high-level language like Python, Go, Groovy including the understanding of object-oriented concepts.
  • Experience with a version control system like Git.
  • Experience with front-end technologies like React, Angular, etc. JavaScript knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter with a passion for problem-solving and able to work with guidance.
  • Able to rapidly prototype solutions and work in an agile environment.
