Role overview:

As a data-rich company, we are continuing to strengthen the analytics functions. We are now looking for a proactive, results-orientated developer for our analytics platform within the growing Marketing Analytics team.

This is a critical and exciting role within the Global Marketing team at SIE. You will be part of a team of marketing analytics developers, delivering data solutions with a focus on advancing the democratisation of data and data literacy across the global marketing function. You will be responsible for improving the data platform, building data products and adding data services across the global marketing team. You will also collaborate with other business intelligence and analytics development teams across the organisation by carrying out and sharing global best practices in delivering data solutions that empower its users. From time to time as a developer, you may be asked to participate in broader team responsibilities that are relevant to your specific skills.

You will have a high proficiency in end-to-end data solution delivery and be confident in demonstrating how the data products add business value across a broad range of Marketing teams with different data challenges.

Your role will be largely covered by three main strategic objectives:

  • Saving operational time. Delivering time savings by maximising the use of best-fit data processing techniques for the variety of different users of the platform.
  • Building trust by improving the transparency of the data delivery process, validating solutions and meeting delivery performance metrics.
  • Education. Delivering educational content & coaching for users of the analytics platform to make the most of the data products offered by the team. As well as engaging with the analytics community to encourage more use of the end-to-end analytics offering of services.

You will have impeccable communication skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships among stakeholders both globally and locally, external agencies and other analytical/data teams across the business; always being mindful of the appropriate communication style with each group.

For this role we are looking for an intelligent, insight focused, self-motivated, business-oriented team-player, data loving individual. You must have a high degree of comfort and experience of working in a team to deliver valuable strategic data products that leads to actionable business benefit.

What we are looking for:

Data Product Experience

  • Considerable experience working with one of Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, DOMO, Alteryx or any full-stack data analysis tool is essential. Additional knowledge of the Qlik suite of tools (Qlik Data Catalyst, Qlik Alerting, Qlik NPrinting, Qlik Management Console) is advantageous.
  • Competent with data processing & modelling, utilising best practices within their work.
  • A fundamental understanding of SQL. Experience of working with Snowflake or a similar tool is preferable.
  • Strong analytical development knowledge base, with proven ability to develop solutions focused on putting the customer first.
  • A great understanding of software features and the ability to see opportunities to educate the team on how to apply such features.

Communication & Networking Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and analysis both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to tailor the communication according to different stakeholder audiences and cultures across the business and the globe.
  • Build strong relationships across the globe with other data/analytics communities.

Project Management

  • Good project management skills, with the ability to successfully manage and prioritise numerous time-pressured analytical projects/work tasks simultaneously.
  • Agile trained and confident working within a team practising Agile methods.

Attitude

  • A self-starter with the capacity to exercise initiative and creativity appropriately, make informed decisions and to request guidance when necessary.
  • Collaborative nature, strong planning and organisation skills with the experience to develop solutions by adopting a consultative approach with the content expert.
  • Experience of working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales and Marketing.
  • Passionate team player with an inquisitive, creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.

Other

  • Intense interest and experience in the video gaming or digital entertainment industry
  • Over 5 years of experience in analytics and 2 years in marketing related analytics work
  • Relentlessly high standards, with a great sense of ownership over your work
  • Relevant Degree and good grounding on other data management and analytical related work
