Role: Advanced Analytics Senior Analyst

Role overview:

As a data rich company, we are continuing to invest heavily within the analytics area and are now looking for a proactive result orientated statistical analyst within this exciting data driven team.

This is a critical and exciting role within the Global Marketing Department at SIE. You will work as part of our small Advanced Analytics & Modelling Team (AA&M) which sits under our wider Marketing Analytics Team.

Our advanced analytics & Modelling team is responsible for key global initiatives

  • Strategic Media Budget Optimisation – driving better decisions for our brand and sales
  • Global Marketing KPIs – supporting the business understanding of drivers and impact of key performance metrics & target setting
  • Analytics work for key product verticals in Marketing – driving greater efficiency, growth and better strategic decisions

What you will be doing:

  • Delivery and implementation of high quality statistical, analytical and modelling work that drives better strategic decisions
  • Proactively identify gaps in analytics and uncover insights that are valuable to the business through various data insights and sources
  • Act as a trusted and reliable ‘go-to’ person to our stakeholders with ability to competently addressing questions about data, methodology, output with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Act as an ambassador to maintain and enhance reputation and profile within the business by building strong relationships with stakeholders, collaborating with wider teams and positively contributing to our team
  • Work collaboratively with external agency partner to ensure their analytics outputs are of high quality, robust and meet SIE’s context and expected standards
  • Manage the data delivery/validation process with SIE data owners, media agency and external agency partner
  • Manage effective communications with stakeholders throughout each stage of the project; briefing, proposal, status updates, discussions etc.
  • Support head of AA&M in leading the discussions at meetings and proactively contributing to ideas, being inquisitive and challenging yourself for greater quality works

What we are looking for:

Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical knowledge with extensive technical experience in statistical modelling techniques.
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge within econometrics/media mix modelling (MMM), including experience building and testing data models, as well as in generating actionable insights is a strong plus.
  • Strong Knowledge of marketing concepts and understanding of media capabilities/ ecosystem would be considered as an advantage
  • Ability to assess large datasets from multiple sources, uncover actionable insights with relevant business context and application
  • Experience in identifying key drivers for business/marketing KPIs is desirable
  • Expert user of data analysis/statistical applications e.g. AWS, SQL, SAS, R, Python is a must. Competent in using a range of tools including: Adobe Analytics, Tableau, MicroStrategy & Qlik or equivalent

Communication & Networking Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and influentially, both verbally and in writing inc. preparation of presentation materials to the highest standards with clear story/narrative
  • Specifically, ability to communicate statistical analysis, model results and learnings clearly & succinctly
  • Ability to tailor the communication according to different stakeholder audiences and cultures across the business and the globe.
  • Build strong relationships across the globe with other data/analytics communities

Project Management

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to successfully manage and prioritise numerous time pressured analytical projects/work tasks simultaneously.
  • When required, ability to manage Third Party relationships with sub-contractors, agencies or other collaborators, to ensure accurate, timely delivery, to a pre-agreed budget

Attitude

  • A self-starter with the capacity to exercise initiative and creativity appropriately, make informed decisions and to request guidance when necessary.
  • In addition, the person will be a passionate team player with an inquisitive, creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
  • Insight focused, self-motivated, business-oriented team-player, data loving individual

Other

  • Intense interest and experience in the video gaming or digital entertainment industry
  • Relentlessly high standards, with a great sense of ownership over your work and high level of attention to detail
