Are you looking to get a foot into the games industry with a PR and communications focus? Do you love indie games? Do you want to learn more about how to promote them?
Well, good news: we’re looking for an intern to join us for August and September 2020, working fully remote, and part-time.
What you’ll be doing:
- Help us out with research, learning more about the games and media landscape in the process.
- Help us out with reports.
- Draft materials and brainstorm with us.
- Possibly more depending on your interests and previous experience.
- Learning loads about how things work: PR, community management, indie game development…
Who we’re looking for:
- A little bit of experience helps, but it’s not necessary. A willingness to learn, attention to detail and a proactive attitude are more important.
- Someone with a passion for indie games who wants to hopefully make a career out of promoting them.
- A self-organised person: we work remotely, so being able to participate even when working from home is essential!
- Ideally someone in the European time zones, able to set aside either a couple of days a week or a few hours a day (TBD).
- Bonus: Any extra skill you would like to bring to the table and/or develop!
Some important points:
- This is a paid opportunity! Not much unfortunately, as we’re still a small company, but work always deserves compensation.
- If you are based outside of the UK, you would need to be able to invoice for your work (freelance or otherwise).
- This internship is compatible with university programmes.
- We very strongly encourage people of marginalised backgrounds to apply!
Interested? Send us a cover letter with a bit of info about yourself and why you want to join us for this internship, a CV and a paragraph pitching us your favourite game.
