The Role:

Working closely with Art and Code teams you will help bring the art vision to life. Graphics and rendering are your daily bread and butter and you’ll be more than familiar with a pipeline and tools. Above all this, you’ll love working closely as part of a team crafting best in class visual content.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the art and code teams to deliver the game to the artistic vision and within budget
  • Identify and create methods to improve art pipelines and visual quality
  • Support the Art, Engineering and Design Teams, helping to resolve technical difficulties
  • Monitor the technical pipelines for all art areas across the studio; from initial specifications, through to final in-game implementation and continued future support
  • Create detailed, easy to read documentation of toolsets and workflows that the team can rely on
  • Help keep Assets / Content within memory budget and performance guidelines
  • Drive, refine and document tech art best practices, working with the other disciplines to ensure standards and processes are reviewed regularly to ensure efficiency and quality, across the studio
  • Be aware of the wider industry developments ensuring we are using the latest techniques to create the highest quality and performance friendly assets
  • Break down work and tasks from project lead briefings; comfortably creating and maintaining tracking lists for yourself and other team members
  • Proactively identify new technologies and techniques that will improve the game
  • Be an example for professional conduct, setting a high standard at all times with internal staff and external contacts.
  • Willing and able to take on responsibilities outside of core specialism in line with the needs of the studio

Required:

  • Shipped at least one title as a technical artist or similar role
  • Experience in Unity/ Unreal
  • Experience of working on published mobile titles
  • Experience with shader creation and exposure to HLSL
  • Exposure to C#, Python, Mel
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively
  • A passion for games and game visuals
