Founded in 2017, they are the first professional esports team of the city and are focused on making an impact in the local community. DESCRIPTION

Time Frame: 15 weeks; January 6th, 2020 - April 17th, 2020 Tentative

Internship Summary:

Join us in building one of the newest and most exciting entertainment companies in Pittsburgh!

As a startup, we are currently being incubated in Pittsburgh Steelers offices and have the opportunity to learn from their amazing team every day. With all of our initiatives, access, projects, and adventures in new media, there is never a dull moment with the Pittsburgh Knights!

As a merchandising intern for the Pittsburgh Knights, you will spend the duration of the program learning what it takes to create and maintain a unique and competitive product assortment in the esports space. The role requires a passion for retail and trends in addition to having strong analytical and business acumen.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Aggregate sales and industry data in reports
  • identify trends in fashion and esports and assist in developing strategies to capitalize
  • Analyze real-time sales and consumer data to provide short-term and long-term solutions to identified issues
  • Assist in developing merchandise and marketing plans for ecommerce and event sales
  • Assist in product sourcing, sampling, design, and purchasing
  • Other projects as determined by supervisor
  • Interns will report directly to the Merchandise Coordinator.
  • We do suggest that the interns earn class credit for his/her time with the team as this is an otherwise unpaid internship.
  • Availability schedule includes day and evening hours, as well as holidays and weekends.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship, May 2020 graduates are still eligible
  • Ability to work at Pittsburgh Knight’s office in Pittsburgh, PA
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or the Adobe Suite

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software and spreadsheet software.
