Have you always had a dream to help to develop a new IP AAA game with a first party publisher? Look no further! Oxide Games is looking for a Gameplay Tools and UI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for learning new skills, have a strong foundation in programming, and be eager to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

In this role you will...

  • Work collaboratively with designers, artists, and engineers to define and implement tools for game development and modding.
  • Implement player facing user-interfaces in a AAA game by utilizing the Nitrous game engine.
  • Facilitate collaborative problem solving with other team members.

What types of education and experience do you need for this role?

  • BS degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • Working knowledge of C# and/or C++
  • Previous experience creating GUI based applications and/or tools
  • Previous professional work experience in a team-based atmosphere

As a plus:

  • Basic understanding of multithreaded programming
  • Experience using a popular UI framework such as WPF or QT
  • UX experience
  • Plays and enjoys strategy games

At Oxide you'll get the chance to work with all members of the team, both technical and non-technical, to implement features as described. We also will expect you to make suggestions for improvements, especially suggestions that help with technical hurdles, all while working through iterations quickly. We need you to create well-documented, performance-driven code.
