About Overtime

Based in NYC, Overtime is funded by top venture capital firms like Andreessen Horowitz and Spark and by industry leaders like Kevin Durant and former NBA Commissioner Emeritus David Stern. Overtime is building the biggest sports network in the world for the next generation of fans. We use tech, new platforms, and new formats to drive a billion video views every month. We publish our short-form content and long-form series across 7 platforms focusing on basketball, football, soccer, and gaming. We own a pro esports team, have a fast-growing apparel business, and basically do everything differently from a standard media company. Overtime is led by seasoned entrepreneurs with deep experience in the intersecting worlds of sports and media, and a strong track record of building successful startups and guiding them through acquisition.

What you’ll do

  • Manage a team of producers, shooters, and editors
  • Impart technical expertise of shooting and editing equipment to team members
  • Oversee serialized content from casting through picture lock
  • Direct large projects and live events
  • Research our audience, conceiving fresh ideas to improve metrics
  • Supervise efficiency, making sure deadlines and expectations are met

Who you are

  • At least ten years of video production experience on long-form content
  • An established ability to lead large teams with experience supervising field and post-production
  • A Jill/Jack of all trades with an expertise in shooting/editing and the technical proficiency to mentor team members functioning as one-person-bands
  • Experience tracking and developing nuanced stories over a long periods of time
  • Experience working in the digital video landscape on platforms like Youtube
  • An appreciation and knowledge of the sporting world and the culture surrounding it
  • A critical minded approach to sports content with an eagerness to peel away layers of the onion and develop empathic stories that resonate with our audience
  • A voracious appetite to learn about the viewing habits of Generation Z
  • A passion for creating entertaining content that’s smart and engaging
  • An eagerness to lead exciting projects thrown your way, such as building studios or directing live events
  • A team player excited about the opportunity to change the way we consume sports content
