As the Head of Audience Insights & Analytics you’ll work with consumers and collaborate with our sales, brand strategy, and content teams to uncover insights that lead to action. We're looking for someone who has experience with a variety of consumer research methods and demonstrated experience uncovering actionable insights. Additionally, this role will be tasked with delivering content analytics reports. We're looking for a mindful and vocal advocate with excellent communication skills. You will partner with x-functional teams and leadership across Overtime to increase our understanding of consumers and influence strategic planning, content development and drive thought leadership in the marketplace.

Based in NYC, Overtime is funded by top venture capital firms like Andreessen Horowitz and Spark and by industry leaders like Kevin Durant and NBA Commissioner Emeritus David Stern. Overtime is building the biggest sports network in the world for the next generation of fans. We use tech, new platforms, and new formats to drive a billion video views every month. We publish our short-form content and long-form series across 7 platforms focusing on basketball, football, soccer, and gaming. We own a pro esports team, have a fast-growing apparel business, and basically do everything differently from a standard media company. Overtime is led by seasoned entrepreneurs with deep experience in the intersecting worlds of sports and media, and a strong track record of building successful startups and guiding them through acquisition.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct first-party research to help drive understanding of the Overtime audience
  • Position Overtime as a thought leader in the marketplace by merchandising our learning through press, conferences, marketing materials, and sales calls
  • Evaluate and set up a vendor network to drive qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Lead synthesis of qualitative and quantitative findings and deliver compelling storytelling to inform, influence and shape strategy
  • Analyze content data in order to optimize performance

Who you are

  • 10+ years with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, execute and deliver compelling and actionable consumer insights in an exciting work environment, balancing both speed and rigor
  • Command of consumer insights and research principles, design methodologies and collaborative problem solving
  • Quantitative experience and understanding of different quant methodologies (e.g segmentation, A&U, etc)
  • Rich qualitative knowledge and expertise around different methodologies (e.g. community, ethnos, focus groups, etc)
  • Ability to synthesize findings that translate into actionable insight
  • Expertise in leading research agencies
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation and presentation skills. Gifted storyteller, adept at crafting deliverables (presentations, frameworks, video and infographics) that persuade, influence and inspire multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to influence and communicate with clarity across a variety of businesses (product, marketplace/sales, marketing)
  • Insatiable interest in Culture and Cultures
