The Media Content Producer we’re looking for has a real interest in and knowledge of cultural and social trends in China. And a talent for producing content to suit, managing the process from production planning through to on-time delivery. Our ideal candidate is both a collaborative team player, and a skilled manager. In this role you will

  • Produce and deliver video content creatives.
  • Onboard and collaborate with external production and post-production partners.
  • Prepare production budgets and timelines, and negotiate them with stakeholders.
  • Ensure that agreed budgets and timelines are respected.
  • Manage the internal production team (scriptwriters, editors, artists, etc.).
  • Handle production planning in collaboration with the global content production and platform management teams.
  • Propose and develop production concepts and plans based on the demand/trends of Chinese platforms.
  • Oversee productions in China and ensure that productions comply with CN legislation (obtaining any necessary permits in the process).

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent organizational, budgeting, and scheduling skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with proficiency in the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Solid interpersonal skills.

Your experience

  • At least 3 years of production experience in the animation, commercial, film, TV, digital, or entertainment sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the video production process.
  • Basic understanding of video production tools that are common in the industry (Adobe Creative Cloud, Maya, etc....).
  • Strong computer knowledge, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, or alternatives like (Google Docs
  • Experience in negotiating with, onboarding, and managing external production partners.
  • Experience managing and coordinating the output of small creative teams (up to five people)
  • Good understanding of the industry landscape and well experienced in working with different animation studios.
  • Familiarity with government policies and procedures for Chinese domestic productions.

Compensation
