OG is a leading international esports organization incorporated in Denmark in 2018. OG operates esports teams within the video games Dota 2, CS2 and Rocket League, with all teams being a part of the absolute elite. OG’s daily management operates primarily from its offices in Denmark; however OG’s employees work from different locations across the world. The group currently consists of two companies: OG Esports A/S and OG CS ApS.

Job Overview

The Head of Partnerships oversees a critical function of the business in generating long-term partnerships and overseeing the account management of our existing partnerships, maximizing brand equity whilst driving commercial success.

The role focuses on leading a team to ensure a fully integrated partnership approach with our wider marketing plan, maximizing value for both our partners and the business, overseeing the creation of a world-class, defining activation plan that distinguishes OG as a premium partner in the field. In addition, the role focuses on developing a strong network of brands in order to commercialize our offering. The role should ensure a data-driven approach to work, to accurately determine valuation and brand value of partnerships; whilst, generating insights to inform our business strategy for future growth based on commercial opportunities. The role is highly collaborative, and should be comfortable working across the whole organization and play a significant role in stakeholder management and customer relationship development. The ideal candidate will be an expert at delivering client service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop our partnership strategy, mapping our core value propositions and commercial offering to generate high-value potential partners that align to our core brand values.

  • Manage the lead-gen process, building a robust network of brands and establishing long-term relationships to create a qualified pipeline of potential opportunities.

  • Determine our strategic partnership approach, categorizing and commercializing our products and inventory in a way that maximizes revenue but aligns to the marketing and business values.

  • Through a data-driven approach, establish accurate valuation and measurements of business value and educate the business on long term commercial opportunities for how we invest and develop our business model.

  • Oversee partner integration and ensure partnership obligations are fulfilled.

  • Ensure a rigorous reporting process that monitors effectiveness against partner objectives and KPIs.

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to create a world-class activation plan and thoroughly integrate partners through a 360 approach across our full marketing mix, distinguishing OG as leaders in the field.

  • Lead a motivated team of account managers to deepen partner relationships and establish long-term, successful partnerships.

Qualifications & skills

  • 5+ years partnerships or sales experience

  • 3+ years leading teams

  • Experience in esports preferred

  • An established partner network and contact list

  • Based in Europe, working remotely, from our offices in Copenhagen, or near to our team facility in Lisbon

  • Structured and well-organized individual with a passion for sales

  • Adaptable and solution-oriented thinker who can quickly pivot plans when circumstances dictate

  • Comfortable working with large quantities of qualitative and quantitative data

  • Experience in planning and delivering complex, cross-functional projects

  • Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-functional environments
