The Wireless Technologies team gathers world class expertise and talent in RF, Antenna, DVT, Wireless/Modem Firmware and Wireless Systems and owns the definition, development and validation of every wireless interface across the whole Oculus product portfolio. We are looking for an Engineering Manager in the APAC region who can join our growing team to drive our operations in the region and help us shape the future of Oculus.

Manager, Wireless Technologies Engineering Responsibilities

  • Build a team of wireless experts in the APAC region to support the operations of the FRL Wireless Technologies team.
  • Work closely with the different engineering teams supporting the design of the different wireless modules (RF, Antenna, FW, Modem, etc) with a special focus on manufacturability and work with 3rd parties (Vendor/ODM/JDM).
  • Manage the interface of the FRL Wireless Technologies team with local APAC vendors and suppliers in close coordination with our Sourcing and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate the FRL Wireless Technologies team support of factory activities and act as the main point of contact for our organization.
  • Support the region Wireless labs/site strategy
  • Work in close collaboration with our Wireless DVT team and support them on the work with facilities teams and other FB engineering functions
  • Support operations with local lab equipment and facilities vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years overall experience 7+ years of experience managing APAC located Wireless organizations with strong interactions with remote engineering teams and local vendors and manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong background in the integration of diverse wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, NFC, Cellular) in consumer electronics
  • A tech leader and strong team player able to work with cross-functional or multiple Geo based teams and comfortable with matrixed organizations.
  • Able to lead and provide clear directions for internal and external partners/customers and drive execution from distributed technical teams-leading to agreements across organizations based on business priorities
  • High level project / program management experience
  • Ability to dive deep to understand issues and pop up to summarize key points to management
  • High energy, willing to take challenges in a fast paced environment meeting project schedules with collaborative attitude and good command of presentation and customer handling

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years overall experience 10+ years of experience managing APAC located Wireless organizations with strong interactions with remote engineering teams and local vendors and manufacturing facilities.
