DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Day to day oversight over Nintendo’s Influencer Relations program, preparing and deploying high level strategies for engaging with content creators to bring Nintendo products and initiatives to life while managing and executing tactics and providing direction to other team members
  • Manages strategy and oversees execution of Nintendo’s portfolio of ongoing Original Content programming such as videos, podcasts and other social-oriented materials, ensuring a strong and engaging content pipeline, tracking progress against defined key performance indicators, building and implementing promotional plans and developing new programming opportunities for future deployment.
  • Manages, implements and/or oversees key activities related to product launches and other social media activities, working independently and with other marketing and Communications teams
  • In addition to leadership of the Influencer Relations and Original Content functions, supports the Strategic Communications team’s work in celebrity marketing, identifying appropriate opportunities for the celebrity community to engage with Nintendo products in a way that drives affinity with defined target audiences
  • Guides team to ensure that all initiatives are aligned with Nintendo strategic priorities
  • Partners with and provides ongoing updates to Strategic Communications team leadership to ensure that Influencer Relations and Original Content initiatives are aligned with overall team objectives and priorities
  • Manages external partners and agencies involved in executing short- and long-term initiatives
  • Prepares overarching short- and long-term goals for all Influencer Relations and Original Content programs, defining and tracking ongoing quantitative and qualitative results
  • Proactively prepares and distributes reports on the latest Influencer Relations and Original Content opportunities, succinctly and clearly summarizing key viewpoints for a wide range of internal stakeholders. Supports and integrates data into ongoing Strategic Communications team dashboard.
  • Drafts and/or edits various materials, including strategic campaign plans, social copy; also coordinates collection and distribution of relevant game assets
  • Maintains tight communications with other marketing teams within Nintendo to ensure that new and ongoing projects are well understood and that cross-team opportunities are realized
  • Prepares reports and presentations on social media marketing activities. May be required to present reports and presentations to senior leaders, executive management team and global headquarters
  • Prepares quarterly trend reports summarizing key changes in the spaces of content creators and content creation, highlighting any adjustments or recommendations to our approach
  • Communicates on an ongoing basis with global headquarters and subsidiaries for program execution, meetings and to share best practices
  • Acts as a leader within the Strategic Communications organization, ensuring clear team understanding of core Nintendo values, business priorities and processes
  • Works in collaboration with counterpart leads/managers in Social Marketing
  • Communicates on an ongoing basis with global headquarters and subsidiaries for program execution, meetings and to share best practices
  • Ongoing contact with social platform holders to manage relationships, maximize rollout of new functionality and ensure ongoing optimization of our channels
  • Oversees direct reports within the Social Media and Strategic Communications team
  • As designated, may represent Nintendo as an official corporate spokesperson in an on-camera or in-person capacity; successful completion of training required
  • Backs up Strategic Communications team members as needed

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of eight years related experience in communications, public relations, influencer marketing or social media
  • Knowledge of best practices within digital marketing and online video
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience managing direct reports required
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience creating still and video assets preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, a related field, or equivalent preferred
