Team/Job Summary: Within NOA’s Business Analytics & Planning (BAP) department, this team provides quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights and trends to drive business decisions. They also collect, aggregate, and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources to construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic plans based on business data and market knowledge.
This job manages team enablement at Nintendo of America’s (NOA) on the company’s growing catalog of business intelligence assets, collaborating with business and engineering teams to guide effective use of the company’s reporting and data assets as well as providing consultation to users and leading cross-functional teams to address business issues.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Maintain and evolve the BI Roadmap in partnership with NOA analytics and data engineering leadership.
Deliver Business Intelligence solutions and reports for various business units within NOA and globally.
Gather and refine Business User Requirements from multiple internal stakeholders and other Nintendo regions. Inform strategy to deliver capabilities that meet current and future business needs for NOA in consultation with other global teams.
Work closely with business teams to understand ongoing data needs, and coordinate with data engineering teams and analysts to execute and roll out data assets.
Train business users on available BI and data assets across various platforms, guiding users towards the best data assets to match analytic and data questions.
Manage the documentation and knowledge base repository for the company’s BI assets.
Maintain training and user guides that map key business concepts to key systems and data elements.
Provide support for other business departments as needed.
Manage, develop, and provide leadership to a team of analysts and/or engineers to evolve skills and meet delivery KPIs, data integrity, standardized use, documentation, and repeatable methods which ensure on time delivery with high quality.
Manage project delivery and coordination between various BI units and business stakeholders. Oversee QA of engineered BI assets and manage communications, rollout, and adoption.
Articulate information and analysis to executive management. Provides global support for Nintendo of Europe (NOE), and Nintendo of Canada (NOCL), and Nintendo Co. Ltd. (NCL).
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Eight (8) years of experience working in an analytics or quantitative field.
Three (3) years of practical analyst experience working in a data-reliant business function (e.g. planning, finance, supply chain) working with integrated BI infrastructures. Experience manipulating data and designing dashboards as an end user.
Three (3) years of designing, developing and maturing reporting including demand waterfall reporting, trending, productivity reporting, scorecards and dashboards.
Proven ability to use data to justify actions and change.
Proven ability to articulate technical concepts in an accessible manner to end users.
Practical experience of relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques.
Practical experience in modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Big Query, or Redshift.
Experience and understanding of BI tooling and concepts – reporting systems, OLAP cubes etc. – and the ability to guide users to most appropriate tooling.
Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, building interactive reports, complex dashboards for different audiences, creating KPIs.
Familiarity with Share Point, and Excel development.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is HYBRID in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $137,000 - $246,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
