DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Translate documents and correspondences on JIRA/Confluence and Redmine from Japanese to English and vice versa. The contents for translation include design specification, technical document, art and sound reviews, diagram, flow-chart, technical tools, power point presentation, in addition to the daily communication between NCL and NST members in terms of game development.
  • Participate in video conference with NCL as a translator to translate discussions (E-J). (Due to time zone difference, those video conferences are most likely held in early evenings.)

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 years or more Japanese/English interpretation experience or equivalent cross-cultural exposure in a business environment.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate complex information for game development fluently in English and Japanese.
  • Excellent translation and interpretation skills with acute attention to detail .
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Ability to clarify with speakers/writers in order to make the translation accurate.
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
