About us: Ninja Theory is a five-time BAFTA award winning games company based in Cambridge, UK, and part of Xbox Game Studios.

Your Role: As part of the Technical Art team, you will collaborate with Character Art and Animation disciplines to create exceptional quality characters that will help bring our creative vision to life. You will work with a variety of photo-real humanoids and creatures. You will help develop puppet, deformation and runtime rigs. This includes top tier facial rigs, dynamic clothing, fur, hair, muscle and skin simulations. You'll have the opportunity to work with external companies and partners which allow you to remain on the cutting edge of game development.

Your Skill: You will have a strong desire to push what is achievable for real-time characters within the games medium. You'll have the ability to leverage both existing and emerging technologies in the pursuit of this. Be able to cast a critical eye, both technical and artistic, over assets.

You will have:

  • Demonstrable ability to author powerful and efficient puppet rigs.

  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy.

  • In-depth knowledge of Maya.

  • Good Python skills, with the ability to write clear, well-structured, and documented code.

  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and mentor others.

  • You will enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
