Introduction:

We are looking for a Team Manager (Rocket League) to join the ever-growing NGX family. This position is responsible for managing our new Rocket League team based in the MENA region. Our Team Manager (Rocket League) plays a key role in the success of our professional teams by amplifying our talent, building strong relationships with the players and external stakeholders such as tournament organizers, game publishers and media outlets. The role will be reporting to the Head of Operations and serve as the first point of contact within Nigma Galaxy for all things related to Rocket League.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving competitive success by managing the day-to-day operations of two professional gaming teams and assisting players organizing practice and preparing for competitions.
  • Managing the relationship with Psyonix and other relevant tournament organizers as well as educating players and other support staff about schedules, rules, policies, changes and obligations.
  • Working closely with and advising Content, Partnerships, Social Media and other internal business units to execute deliverables and meet KPIs.
  • Educating players on Nigma Galaxy policies and requirements regarding content, partnership deliverables, sportsmanship and fair play.
  • Assisting players with deliverables and obligations in content creation and social media and coordinating execution of deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating event requirements for players and supporting staff from briefing to execution ensuring opportunities are maximized.
  • Reporting results and data on a weekly basis to upper management, other business units and other internal stakeholders.
  • Implementing and improving short-term and long-term strategy and processes with the esport operations team ensuring smooth communication between the team and other business units.
  • Establishing a network of contacts in the game’s community, such as tournament and event organizers, game developers, media outlets, team managers and talent.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Operations.

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the esports industry (1Y+)
  • Background in talent management, project management or other operational role
  • Age 18+
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English & Arabic, other languages desirable.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite

This role would be preferably based in Nigma Galaxy’s HQ in Abu Dhabi or in Saudi Arabia, but remote and flexible working is also supported.
