As a member of the Netgear Taiwan Engineering Center, the captioned post will be responsible for procurement activities of sourcing, supplier evaluation, price negotiation, contracting, and management for all designated commodities part.

  • Sourcing and vetting qualified supplier candidate
  • Effective utilization of RFI (Request of Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage.
  • Implement and mapping supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness
  • Support the planning, design and operational activities, and work closely with Product Line Manager & Engineering Team as well as internal Finance and Legal Departments resulting in strategic supplier relationships that achieve cost-effective procurement decisions and overall business plan objectives.
  • Experience in Networking Device components industry, familiar with cost structure and industry. (mechanical parts, RF components, Antenna, Memory, HDD, Display, battery, and more)
  • Leading a small team to reach the teamโ€™s goal.
  • Lead all aspects of supplier negotiations, including contract terms, pricing and performance management.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent written & verbal communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent spreadsheet and math skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation experience, knowledge of standard procurement practices, knowledge of contracts, diplomacy, and strong ability to lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult price negotiations, exceptionally tight deadlines and expectations.
  • Analytical thinker with a positive attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
  • Decision-Making: Must be able to assimilate the information gathered by yourself and others (internal & external) to make decisions.
  • High EQ, empathy, & relationship building skills are indispensable for this position.
  • 8+ years of industry experience encompassing purchasing, project management, and supplier management.
  • BS/BA degree
