In Short

A successful Director of Retail Operations will direct and oversee Localhosts throughout the US and serve as the leader for a team of General Managers and Store Managers ensuring that all critical retail priorities are clearly communicated and executed at a store level.

What We Are Looking For

  • Achieve Localhost franchise scalability, sales, and profit objectives
  • Monitor sales analytics and extract knowledge from the data
  • Oversee and motivate a high performing retail team per location
  • Provide feedback on sales opportunities and input into budget and plan development
    Grow and retain retail talent, hiring the best for business’s needs, improving how they are developed, and guiding the field management in best methods for this
  • Work with the marketing and sales team on the customer journey and expectation strategies
  • Ensure that store payroll is managed well and that scheduling of coverage is optimized
  • Drive the development of effective retail training to support Localhost products, services, operations, and culture

  • Maintain a positive and productive relationship with our stores’ host business partners. Be very responsive and open to host feedback
  • Coach and assess personnel capability and retail conditions
  • Develop regional retail strategy and plan including succession plans
  • Develop and monitor to ensure training standards are met
  • Proactively resolve issues/conflicts within the retail team if necessary
  • Establish coverage standards for each retail location
  • Establish a process to ensure any acquired location(s) are fully integrated and consistent with retail strategy and customer service guidelines of our client
  • Manage and oversee Localhost inventory
  • Lead annual retail reviews and major presentations
  • Develop tactical retail, food and beverage plans and drive its execution capabilities
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

What We Like To See

  • 8+ years of progressive management/leadership experience within the retail industry
  • Strong retail industry knowledge is a must
  • Strategic leadership and tactical management experience
  • Strong background in finance, budgeting, business planning, and P&L understanding
  • Experience in business development
  • Solid organization, project management, and planning skills
  • Powerful inter-personal skills
  • Independent and creative thinker
  • Team player with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
