At Mojang, we create games, products and services to inspire creativity. We develop games with a strong community focus, and put players first in everything we do. Our games are built for everyone, because we believe in demonstrating equality — not just talking about it.

As a UX/UI Designer at Mojang Studios, you'll be embedded in a cross-functional team consisting of developers, artists, and game designers working on the user experience in and around our Minecraft games. You’ll also be a part of the Design team, which collaborates on projects and aligns design across the entire company. This team is right in the thick of our collaborative culture, working with many other teams to ensure that our players have the best experience in our games and apps.

As a designer at Mojang you’ll be using Figma to drive projects together with your cross-functional team. You’ll meet with the Design team multiple times a week to share any work in progress, give and receive feedback, and help each other. The team aims for a transparent and inclusive workflow in order to learn from each other and align our work efforts.

We — of course — love playing games , and we're looking for someone with a playful and open mindset, but you don't need to necessarily identify as a gamer to fit in or perform well here.

Your tasks will include

  • Develop the UX and UI of one of the world's most popular games and brands, spanning a wide range of devices and input methods
  • Design features and products with a team of world-class developers and designersWork with usability experts to test your designs and hypotheses

Requirements

  • Highly experienced UI/UX designer or similar
  • Ability to drive design initiatives from ideas to finished designs
