What you'll be doing:
- Work closely with our Product and Data teams to spec and oversee the delivery of features for the Mistplay application (Android or Node.js services)
- Identify issues by analyzing data, processes, and code to solve issues and recognize areas for improvement
- Allocation of work within the Android or the Node.js team
- Maintaining a consistent, high quality, set of deliverables to drive innovative consumer-facing mobile products
- Aid stakeholders in understanding implementation effort and help guide prioritization efforts
- Help to structure our development teams. utilizing the existing talent and identifying areas for additional improvement
- Mentor engineers in engineering activities/methodologies and domain knowledge
- Write and test code that is performant, scalable, maintainable and meets functional requirements
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer
- 5+ years of experience with: (AWS EC2, Beanstalk, DynamoDB, Elasticache) OR (Android mobile development)
- Prior experience in a technical leadership position
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) a strong asset
- Experience being part of the recruitment process for engineering teams
- Ability to design processes for software development, bug tracking, AGILE...etc.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently lead and manage a diverse development team
