Job Description
The Executive In Charge of Production oversees the day-to-day operations and processes of the physical and post-production teams with a specific focus on the management of Associate Producers, Production Coordinators, Technical and Post Production Supervisors, and their team of editors. The ideal candidate has a passion for video production and possesses the skills necessary for creative problem-solving, leadership, and organization. This individual has produced multiple unscripted/documentary projects across multiple genres and mediums, ideally with experience in digital native (IE, YouTube) production, and is well versed and experienced in translating a creative vision into a spectacular produced video. Equally important is the ability to correctly forecast and adhere to varying production budgets with discipline and rigor.
This role will report to the VP of Creative Development and Production and be their right hand in all things Production, Post Production, and Live Events.
Responsibilities
- Executive Producer for all content shoots from greenlight through post-production and platform delivery
- Own, manage, and oversee content execution for all Misfits content
- Responsible for multiple video production teams, both staff and freelance vendors, including management of 5+ simultaneous production and multiple production personnel
- Develop, present, and manage annual content production budget; identify KPIs, deliver quarterly reports, and align with finance to track spending
- Optimize content output and distribution by aligning processes across groups and improving internal communications
- Facilitate creative collaboration through respectful cross-functional communication, ensuring content is reflective of its creative intent and satisfies revenue-driven integration
- Work closely with the legal team to establish vendor talent contracts; negotiate and execute, manage contract database, and communicate legal and financial protocol changes to the wider team
- Oversees production compliance with all corporate policies, including by not limited to legal (inclusive of rights infringement, securing proper releases, complying with anti-corruption and bribery statutes), finance, health protocols (such as covid 19), and risk assessment
- Optimize staff performances by developing clear individual career paths for growth, allowing autonomy and ownership of projects while acting as a source for production problem-solving
- Drive and elevate on-camera talent strategy with a focus on helping them bring out their best performance
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of work experience in the media and entertainment and or digital space.
- Experience as a line producer on shows with international travel
- Production Company, Network (with preference to digital native publishing), and on-set level experience
- Diverse production experience ( This can include Digital, Film, TV, advertising, scripted, doc & event)
- Management experience with multiple FT direct reports
- Exceptional and accurate planning and organizational skills.
- High ability to coordinate and execute multiple concurrent projects on a daily basis.
This is a full-time position located in Boca Raton, Florida. Must be available to travel to external events, productions, and meetings after business hours due to the nature of the entertainment business.
Limited travel, no more than 50%, including domestic and international locations, may be required.
