Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for eSports. This position is directly responsible for building and expanding the Mavs eSports brand and creating a world class gaming facility. Primarily responsible for the development and execution of the overall marketing strategy for our NBA2k team as well as the eSports Pavilion. The ideal candidate is creative, inspiring, and has a proven track record of successful marketing and promotion in the eSports industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Marketing and Branding efforts for Mavs Gaming as well as growing a world-class eSports facility.
  • Develop and manage a highly capable eSports and events team that delivers top-notch experiences to pro- and hobby players, and their fans and viewers.
  • Deliver engaging content to grow and evolve our social media presence
  • Engage and manage relationships with premium brands who have the vision to sponsor eSports.
  • Create world-class on and offline events, while supporting community engagement.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional business teams, brand, digital and marketing teams as well as external partners to ensure success of the programs.
  • Maintains awareness of industry and related trends and best practices to identify opportunities to leverage or improve our programs.
  • Define key performance indicators to set goals for and track the performance of our eSports and events efforts and help team gain and maintain a data-informed perspective on their work.

Qualifications

  • Passionate and engaging person that lives and breathes gaming
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to communicate and inspire others
  • Motivated, self-starter with min 5 yearsโ€™ experience in eSports
  • A proven track record in eSports marketing and branding
  • Deep comprehension of the various components that make up an eSports program and conversationally adept in them, including business management, brand management, content development, and broadcast production.
  • Ability for moderate to frequent travel, including international destinations
