The General Manager serves as a critical leader within the MassVR Operations team. This person will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer experience. The role requires effectively managing employees, engaging comfortably with customers, and the ability to balance multiple projects and timelines at a time, as well as establishing and enforcing standards and procedures per company and legal guidelines.

MassVR is a pioneer in large scale, virtual reality gaming, reshaping the landscape of eSPorts to create a more engaging, physically active genre. A diverse team working to build a proprietary gaming platform, an in-house gaming studio to produce engaging new titles, and an operational staff poising to implement temporary and permanent installations across the country, MassVR is expanding across all fronts to offer a most unique gaming experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Engage with customers and provide the highest quality of service.
  2. Address any customer inquiries and resolve with a high sense of urgency.
  3. Review and post weekly associate schedules, and staff appropriately for special events.
  4. Balance registers and run daily/weekly transaction reports
  5. Effectively maintain operations staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training staff
  6. Provide ongoing monitoring and appraisal of performance results.
  7. Coach, counsel and discipline associates to foster growth, loyalty and development.
  8. Coordinate with Operations Director and Marketing Coordinator to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  9. Maintain accurate booking availability and update and store hours and business demands change.
  10. Ensure accuracy and compliance across booking and game play records,
  11. Prepare and analyze store performance report.
  12. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures compliant with local, state and federal regulations, as well as company policy.
