We create mobile games that are incredibly fun and can be enjoyed by players for a very very long time. Our first game blends casual resource management with merge-puzzle mechanics and a light metagame. We approach development as “data driven artists” who believe that an idea is only good if it works for the players. That’s why we develop in rapid iterative phases, being both passionate and data driven.

You will join an interdisciplinary team of very experienced game professionals covering all aspects of design, art, engineering, business intelligence, user acquisition as well as company leadership.

We operate in a fully remote set up, building on a culture that is based on clarity, empowerment and trust. In order to protect everyone’s work life balance we offer fully remote engagement restricted to “CET +/- 1 hour”. We also support you with designing and equipping a proper remote work set up.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Art Lead to join a team of seasoned game-makers and their well funded and quickly growing start-up! We are looking for a humble team player with strong curiosity in others’ views, and a desire to introduce fun games to millions of people.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Art team in the ongoing development of our merging game Travel Town;
  • Provide briefings and regular feedback on assets (from rough concepts to final animations) created in house and by outsourced companies in a clear and constructive manner;
  • Ensure that produced and integrated assets respect the artistic vision of the game and meet the quality standards, while pushing the quality bar even higher;
  • Organise the tasks of the art team according to the product needs and make sure deadlines are met. Being proactive and anticipating possible blockers will be key;
  • Work alongside Game Design to find the best visual solutions for Content Design;
  • Help with scaling the size of the art team according to the needs of the project;
  • Actively participate in the improvement of work methods and pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Team Lead in the games development industry, optimally on shipped mobile games;
  • Exceptional skills in visual thinking and communication;
  • Strong demonstrable artistic knowledge;
  • Ability to identify and apply the best suiting pipeline depending on the needs of a project;
  • Excellent communication skills and a teamwork oriented attitude.
