Job Description - Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Marketing Communications Manager and is responsible for assisting with social, affiliates, the blog, email and product/brand campaigns to build a consistent message across KontrolFreek’s owned marketing channels. Our ideal candidate is creative, skilled at storytelling and experienced at handling multiple projects at once, with an understanding of the various digital channels including email, blogging and social media.

  • Act as lead copywriter for email, landing pages, on-site content, digital campaigns, blog, seasonal content, promotional copy, the occasional video script and other owned content channels.
  • Head development and strategy of content on KontrolFreek owned marketing channels including weekly blog posts, TikTok, Discord and Twitch
  • Own strategy, execution and community engagement for KontrolFreek Discord channel
  • Build and manage Twitch calendar each month and oversee implementation of every stream
  • Write creative briefs for upcoming campaigns, promotions and product launches
  • Support Social Media Specialist with scheduling content and engaging with our audience through a social management platform
  • Fulfill shipments for marketing giveaways, affiliates and esports organizations
  • Build and own content calendar for select marketing channels, including Twitch, Discord, Blog and TikTok
  • Continually research the gaming landscape and digital trends and develop content based on findings and opportunity space
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to identify content opportunities targeted at SEO ranking and acquiring organic traffic

Qualifications

  • 1-3 Years of hands-on experience as a content creator in a dynamic marketing environment, especially in a direct-to-consumer context
  • Experience with design software like Photoshop a plus
  • Knowledge of video games and the gaming industry
  • Experience with video and photo equipment a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite with the ability to quickly learn and work with new systems and software
  • Determined work ethic with a high degree of intellectual motivation and a data-driven mentality
