Position Location: Las Vegas, NV Position: Senior Lead Database Developer Job Duties: Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications and database solutions using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and related technologies, including performance tuning, process optimization, and the implementation of advanced Oracle features such as Advanced Queuing, Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR), and GoldenGate. Enhance the functional capacity of SYNKROS™ through product line developmental recommendations. Research, design, and develop system software in conjunction with Senior Managers and the SYNKROS™ enhancement review committee. Develops and maintains SQL and PL/SQL code to support database-driven application features. Analyzes technical requirements and problems to deliver effective database solutions. Creates complex, high-performance SQL queries and models large datasets for analysis and optimization. Diagnoses and resolves client database issues, coordinating with R&D to ensure timely fixes. QualificationsJob Requirements: Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field. Employer will accept foreign equivalent if in the same field. Experience Requirements: 60 months of experience in job offered, Manager – Database Development, Software Architect, or closely related experience. Special skills requirements: Experience with designing and implementing normalized data models using SQL Data Modeler to support scalable and maintainable database architectures. Able to perform advanced query tuning using explain plans, indexes, and Oracle optimizer strategies to improve performance and reduce execution time. Experience with creating Technical Design Documents (TDs) from Functional Documents (FDs) to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation. Experience in managing SQL script versioning and deployment workflows using Version Control Systems (e.g., VSS) to ensure traceability and rollback support. Knowledge of coordinating database deliverables within Agile environments, including sprint planning, iteration tracking, and release alignment. Experience in developing and optimizing PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to support high-throughput data operations and business logic. Knowledge of SYNKROS applications, including System Admin Cage, Marketing and Patron Tracking modules, and hub-and-spoke architecture.
