Kluge Interactive is an immersive game studio building the future of human connection through immersive and enhanced experiences. We are best known for Synth Riders, one of the most popular VR rhythm games.

We are working on several other VR titles and making VR games for a UGC social platform for some of the world's most influential VR, music, and technology companies.

Candidates must show an aptitude for learning new systems quickly. After onboarding, we will trust your expertise as a specialist in your field.

You'll be supported by development leadership and a team of multiple engineers. You will work closely with a cross-functional team that involves developers, game designers, sound designers, creative writers, and producers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in VR.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficient with programming in unity 3 to 5 years.

  • Experience programming in other languages like JavaScript and typescript.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to solve complex software and coding issues.

  • English reading and writing skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Good communication skills.

Desired Requirements

  • Ability to work with version control systems like Git.

  • Experience developing in other VR platforms like Roblox, VrChat and RecRoom.

  • Experience in scripting languages like Lua.

Responsibilities

  • Generating game scripts.

  • Coding the base engine of the game.

  • Developing game milestones and checkpoints.

  • Troubleshooting code and fixing bugs.

  • Optimize code based on company best practices.

  • Monitoring the performance and alert of changes in the platform or the game.

You'll be part of a broader cross-functional team, and while there you will be working as part of our development team, with other developers, to help us create our games.
