We're looking for a Lead UX Designer for the Candy Crush Saga team to join us and utilise their management experience and UX knowledge to help lead, motivate and coach our UX team. Your role within the Kingdom

If you are passionate about growing and supervising teams that build immersive, intuitive user experiences and delight millions of players, then this is the ideal role for you.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Developing and building relationships across teams, Product Managers and Directors to create a cohesive product.
  • Improving collaboration and knowledge sharing between UX craft members.
  • Identifying areas of growth in team members through coaching and mentorship, working with Senior staff and Directors to improve UX competencies.
  • Managing up to 6- 7 UX Designers (the majority of which hold Senior level positions).
  • Conducting regular 1:1s with your direct reports, assisting them with their career growth and problem solving any issues that might arise.
  • Helping us build and retain diverse teams with the help of the UX Craft.
  • Identifying organisational needs with the UX Craft Development Director.
  • Facilitating high level strategic and craft feedback to your direct reports.
  • Gaining high level understanding of features that UX Designers are working on and providing feedback to craft stakeholders.
  • Working with UX stakeholders to identify training opportunities.
  • Advocating for HCI (Human Computer Interaction) principles and ensuring design proposals demonstrate these principles.
  • Helping establish and guiding the team to a more user- centric design approach, best practices and standards.

Skills

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Prior experience of being a manager or assuming management responsibilities in prior roles, not necessarily in the UX craft.
  • Experience in coaching and mentorship.
  • You have a few years of experience in UX Design (We also value experience in other design and psychology disciplines)
  • You are skilled in Interaction Design and Information Architecture.
  • Good understanding of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) principles and UCD (User Centered Design) methodologies.
  • Championing Accessibility and Inclusion.
  • Lead the way in improving our design processes.
  • Able to facilitate workshops and training for the UX craft.
  • Experience with research methodologies.

Bonus (Nice to haves)

  • Experience in Figma.
  • Experience in scaling teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and its processes.
  • Mobile game development experience.
