We're seeking someone familiar with esports, gaming & nerd culture for a part-time social media position for a client that's targeting the gaming/esports audience. Responsibilities and qualifications are below.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the brand’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, including scheduling, optimizing and strategy
- Plan and drive editorial calendar
- Develop and manage content (text, graphic & visual) for use across all channels
- Optimize content for growth
- Represent the brand and build community by engaging with fans and responding to DMs and comments
- Reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years experience working in a social media-focused role, ideally within esports or video game industries
- Deep understanding of gaming, esports, nerd and meme culture
- Understanding of the unique values and publishing methods to social media platforms
- Excellent writing skills for all social platforms that’s informed by the brand’s social voice, tone, and style
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proactive self-starter who can anticipate needs and keep projects moving forward without constant oversight and direction
- Understand marketing
- Experience with social media listening and insights tools is a plus
- Minimum age: 18+ y/o
- Confident, vocal and not afraid to share ideas to help improve the organization.
- Fluent in English
