Our People (HR) team at Jam City is at the heart of our organization and directly partners and guides our development studios and corporate teams with everything from strategic resource planning to engagement initiatives. We are looking for a highly organized, creative, and resourceful People Engagement & Communications Intern who is a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a desire to work with HR / People professionals.

If you would like to develop your career in human resources, especially around Employee Engagement and Experience, this internship will be a great opportunity for you to learn the ins and outs of HR strategies. Our Intern works directly with our Director of Employee Engagement and Communications and will partner with the People Team on various ongoing initiatives, events, and programs. This internship opportunity will also be remote.

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S (Juniors or Seniors preferred) and able to intern remotely through late-August 2022. At this time, our program is not open to new grads.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Summer 2022 session. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partner with the Employee Engagement & Communications Team, as well as the extended People Team to execute projects that impact our global workforce
  • Develop virtual employee engagement toolkits by identifying virtual events and celebrations that reflect our culture and values and bring people together globally
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders on new ideas and initiatives to keep celebrations, recognition and values implementation inclusive, relevant and authentic
  • Build virtual event toolkits that will be used by managers to drive engagement amongst teams and new hires
  • Bring a fresh perspective to our current way of approaching people processes - everything from onboarding to engagement to professional development
  • Have the autonomy to work on an HR project of your choosing that will help you grow in your professional career
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by the team in line with the goals of the position

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program in the U.S. (upcoming Juniors or Seniors preferred)
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 30 hours per week)
  • Currently pursuing bachelor's degree or above (HR or related major is highly preferred), with strong interests in developing a career in employee engagement, human resources, talent development, or communications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with GSuite Applications (Google Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented - you love the small things and believe the magic is in the details
  • Proactive and likes to take ownership over assignments, projects, and tasks
  • Excellent skills in time management and prioritizing tasks
  • Grit and learning agility is important to you

About Jam City’s Internship Program:

Jam City’s Summer 2022 Remote Internship Program will take place from June 13th through August 25th and will be primarily remote with the possibility of one week being on-site (travel provided for non local students). Students can expect a paid, part-time (up to 30 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem-solving skills through real hands-on experiences. We’re looking for students that bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest or passion for mobile games.
