Our San Francisco studio is looking for a highly motivated Game Production Intern who has a passion for mobile gaming & an interest in learning the ins & outs of creating Production Perfection! You will get the opportunity to learn and work with some of our industry's best game designers, developers, and artists on some of Jam City's most popular titles including Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery, Panda Pop, and Vineyard Valley. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who thrives in a fast-paced environment and for someone interested in getting immersed in the production training at a leading mobile gaming company. Our Spring 2021 internship program will be entirely remote.

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S. during the Spring 2021 semester and able to intern remotely through April 2021.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a part-time basis during the Spring 2021 semester. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Deadline to apply for our Spring 2021 program is December 1, 2020

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Partner directly with talented designers, engineers, artists and other producers to ensure the smooth development of quality products.
  • Create, triage and track tasks within Jira to ensure a smooth production pipeline each sprint.
  • Participate in the game design process to ensure the development of quality games.
  • Create repeatable processes to improve efficiency and predictability.
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build consensus and communicate decisions to all relevant parties.
  • Manage high volumes of art and sound assets.
  • Recognize and stay current with game market trends, patterns, and customer requirements.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program in the U.S. during the Spring 2021 semester (February 1 - April 9)
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Passion for Games, specifically mobile.
  • Ability to balance project demands with creative essentials. You demand quality, creativity and fun while still managing project resources and timelines.
  • Familiarity w/ production tools: JIRA, Confluence, Google Documents.
  • Project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Comfortable with independently identifying, assessing and solving problems quickly.
  • Ability to acclimate quickly to a rapidly shifting, fast-paced creative environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of game design principles and terminology common throughout the mobile landscape.
  • Be hands on with the development of the game across all departments from art to QA.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Familiarity with platform dev tools: iTunes Connect, Google Play Store, etc.
  • Worked in other roles (artist, designer, engineer) in the game development lifecycle.
  • Social, online and/or iPhone/Android production experience.

About Jam City’s Internship Program:

Jam City’s Spring 2021 Digital Internship Program will take place from February 1 - April 9, 2021 and will be entirely remote. Students can expect a paid, part-time (10 - 20 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem solving skills through real hands on experiences.
