Are you able to translate complex game design requirements into highly functional server solutions? Do you want to work on a brand original new mobile game? As a Backend Server Engineer at IUGO, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our high volume game servers. The ideal candidate should be an expert in Linux server development and related network development technologies. They should also be highly self-motivated and display exceptional problem solving skills. Details are listed below.

COVID-19 Protocol:

Our employees are currently given the option to either work remotely from home, OR from the studio (provided they complete our 30 minute Covid-19 Safety Training). Our entire interview and onboarding process can be completed from the comfort of your own home. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop Linux game server technologies
  • Create and implement features for massive multiplayer mobile games
  • Develop server tools for game features and live operations
  • Work with our dynamic and highly-driven game development teams

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years server side development - Node.js
  • 3+ years of relevant professional development experience on Linux environments
  • Experience in Linux server administration/setup
  • Proficient with relational and non-relational database usage and configuration
  • Experience with large scale distributed server infrastructure design and development
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or qualifications in a related technical discipline

BONUS

  • Experience with Amazon Web Service technologies
  • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience with Typescript
  • Experience with Angular Framework
  • Experience with PHP Frameworks
  • Knowledgeable in Unix/Linux and core network services (DNS, http servers)
  • Experience with network load balancers and network security (firewalls/ACLs)
  • Networked games or Social games server development experience
