Inven Global is looking for a freelance Esports Writer! You are skilled and opinionated in the field of esports. You contribute written, video, and graphic content and that entertains, informs, and engages our readers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide interesting, insightful, and/or opinionated featured pieces about the esport of your choice or the wider esports industry/business.
- This includes interviews, analyses, op-eds, investigative reports, breaking news, video content, and more.
- Work with Inven Global’s Editorial Lead to pitch topics for approval and format them to publication’s standards.
- We’re looking to work with contributors specializing in:
- League of Legends
- Super Smash Bros
- CS:GO
- Valorant
- Legends of Runeterra
- Call of Duty series
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent written English
- 2+ years of experience writing about esports
- Understanding of industry/game-specific trends
- Quick to identify and write about hot topics of discussion in the world of esports
- Outside-the-box article ideas
- Respect for deadlines and schedules. An excellent time-management and work ethic is essential
- Versatility in different article types is a plus
