Kickstart is a Government scheme aimed to help support young people back into work after the economic effects of the pandemic. It’s aimed at 16-24-year-olds who are not in education and are currently claiming universal credit.

Your role will be fundamental in helping the business to recruit top talent across all areas of the business. You will work closely with the Talent and Training Manager, supporting her in tasks relating to internal recruitment. We are a thriving business that does an annual intake of trainee recruiters to work through a graduate recruitment program and regularly recruits for more experienced recruiters and marketeers. You will be responsible for helping the T&T Manager source candidates from a range of sources and then assist in the successful onboarding. Your role will be fundamental in enabling Aardvark Swift to expand our teams and realise our growth plans.

This is a varied role that will introduce you to the world of recruitment! We are looking for an enthusiastic induvial who can follow a process and has good administration skills. You will be a great communicator and have good organisational skills.

As the Internal Recruitment Assistant, you will be a valuable support for the T&T Manager, helping to manage candidates through the recruitment process here at Aardvark Swift. Your responsibilities will include managing the “work for us” mailbox, maintaining and updating candidate records on the CRM system, reviewing internal applications, screening, and rejecting unsuitable candidates, and feeding back to the T&T Manager on the candidates you think are good. You will also organise first-stage interviews of successful candidates, send interview confirmations, and update all archaic candidates on the CRM system.

In addition, you will be tasked with managing relationships with candidates who may be right for ASR in the future, building a valuable Linked In network of local recruiters to develop a pool of candidates we can access in the future, building and manage LI Recruitment Projects, managing a social media presence to help build your personal brand and our Employer Brand attracting new candidates who will see us a great employment option to launchpad or continue their recruitment career.

Remaining GDPR compliant always in line with internal and governmental guidelines.

  • Good commercial acumen with a desire to learn how a business works and how the various departments are aligned and work together.
  • Experience in working in an office is ideal.
  • You are highly organised and have the confidence to plan your day to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • You offer support for your peers and are happy to get involved in other business areas as the internal workload demands.
  • You have excellent communication skills – and feel confident when speaking with your candidates and the team.

At the end of the placement, should the candidate have performed well and shown promising skills development in the areas needed, we will discuss a permanent role with them for an Internal Recruitment Assistant (at minimum wage). Alternatively, we will consider Apprenticeships for those who wish to continue their development.
