Into Games is a fast growth non-profit with the mission to make the videogames industry a more accessible sector for young people aged 8 to 24 to find the career of their dreams. We are an industry led organisation, working with some of the UK’s top games studios to inspire and support people who are primarily from groups that are currently underrepresented in the sector (girls, BAME, etc). We operate the Videogames Ambassador programme with UKIE, the online resources hub intogames.org and the bi-weekly game jam event, Side Quest.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, and focussed new member of staff to help us reach hundreds of thousands of young people across the UK by building and nurturing our current communities, developing strong new partnerships with studios and youth initiatives, and boosting our sponsorship revenues.

This is a fast paced and exciting role for someone looking to cut their teeth in a brand new venture where you will have a good level of autonomy and the space to try new ideas. We are a remote team that operates in a non-hierarchical way, with everyone's voice of equal importance.

KPI’s for Community and Partnerships lead

  1. Engagement and growth of Videogame Ambassador network (quality of opportunities on platform + number of VGA’s)
  2. Growth of Into Games Educational Network (IGEN)
  3. Quality of partnerships and outcomes
  4. Sponsorship into organisation
  5. Side Quest user growth (In partnership with Social and Content lead)

What you will be doing...

  • Meeting with representatives from the games industry and developing partnership ideas that fit with our organisations aims and mission
  • Develop partnerships with educational institutions and youth organisations to ensure a regular stream of volunteering opportunities on the VGA network and the continued growth of the IGEN
  • Be responsible for the experience of VGA’s
  • Work with the CEO to ensure sponsorship targets are met and exceeded

To do this work, you will have to...

  • Be a fast learner that can easily see connections and potential between organisations
  • Be comfortable in leading conversations, webinars and meetings
  • Be a great networker
  • Be able to have high level sponsorship conversations and take them to completion
  • Be comfortable with Discord, Twitter and Twitch

These skills would be great to have:

  • A passion for games and the games industry
  • An understanding of how games are made
  • Worked in education or with young people in the past
  • Have a strong network of games industry professionals
