Our talented team in Edmonton, Alberta is looking for a senior technical artist to join us in embracing next-generation game-dev techniques within the Art team, contributing to our exciting project.

Are you someone with a strong background in tech art? Do you enjoy generating rich landscapes in Houdini and populating them procedurally? You might be the right fit for our team!

Our technical art team defines and implements the systemic processes and pipelines by which the art content of our project is developed. We collaborate with all disciplines to drive the project's tools and pipelines in a manner that is conducive to efficient game development, technical correctness, and highly aesthetic artwork.

Area of Impact:

  • Own your features and systems from concept to delivery
  • Be an available point of contact, liaising frequently with stakeholders
  • Bring experience to bear in streamlining development of your tools and systems
  • Bridge the gaps between stakeholders of teams and features to ensure project-wide benefit of the work
  • Maintain spirit of vision, while staying conscious of scope
  • Be an advocate for high-quality results
  • Support and mentor more junior colleagues

We would like to hear from you if you identify with the following:

  • Professional experience as a technical artist on at least 2 published console / PC titles
  • Experience working professionally with Houdini
  • Extensive experience with Maya or similar 3D packages
  • Mastery of scripting languages (Python / MEL preferred)
  • Able to define asset compliance within a PBR compliant pipeline
  • Experience working in Unreal is an asset
  • Experience in shader creation through a node-based editor is a plus
  • A thorough portfolio demonstrating your experience (please include link with application)

While we think the above experience could be important, we’re keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply.
