  • Our primary value-add comes from the ability to correlate data sources together and present a holistic, clean, and rational view.
  • Assisting other teams to make the best use of the data available regardless of its origin; this includes providing tooling, training, mentoring and coaching.
  • Designing, building and running PaaS eco-systems that enable Improbable to scale through self-service without being constrained by Engineering Foundation resources.
  • Provide architectures and best practices that work at a global worldwide scale; conforming to the technical and legal restrictions across geographic regions.
  • Implementing robust data security and maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act (GDPR and HIPAA).

We would like to hear from you if you identify with the following

  • Experience in data-engineering toolsets, high-volume data architectures and data warehousing platforms. Building large data & observability platforms
  • Expertise in data visualisation, including dashboard development and design principles using Looker, Mode or other reporting tools.
  • Extensive experience developing data-sets using SQL and some recent experience writing SQL in Google BigQuery or an equivalent cloud SQL warehouse.
  • Experience coding in any of Golang, C#, Javascript, C++, Java, Python or Ruby.
  • Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, providing engineering feedback across the business together with one-on-one support for analysts
  • Ability to understand and translate business needs into data and database specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures (high performance, scalable, queryable, optimisation).

While we think the above experience could be important, we’re keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply.
