Who we are

Unique blockchain assets (“NFTs”) are experiencing a massive surge in popularity. These unique assets allow people to own anything from in-game items to digital art to music and financial instruments.

However, they are highly illiquid: transactions take minutes or hours to confirm, and Ethereum can process fewer than 5 NFTs per second for the whole world combined. We have built Immutable X, a next-generation protocol for trading blockchain assets with instant trade confirmation, massive scalability, and no gas fees without compromising user custody to solve this problem for ourselves and others. Immutable X’s goal is to help businesses scale their creation and trading of these unique assets (“NFTs”).

We are searching for a Lead DevOps Engineer who can improve our internal processes and deliver high quality, stable products to our customers. You will be responsible for architecting our CI/CD strategy and creating and maintaining our test and production infrastructure via Terraform (together with our other engineers).

You will have the opportunity to make significant changes to our DevOps practices and culture to help us achieve our overall business goals. Our goal is to build a better future for digital asset ownership, not just build a better product, and we’re looking for someone who can make a difference in our mission.

Here’s how you’ll contribute

  • Conduct audits of Immutable’s DevOps practices and processes
  • Re-architect our DevOps practices and workflows
  • Create a staged upgrade roadmap of DevOps changes
  • Define DevOps best practices for engineers and others at Immutable
  • Create primitives that ensure our engineers are building new systems efficiently
  • Conduct internal training and education on DevOps practices and processes

A bit about you

  • CI/CD tooling experience including but not limited to GitHub Actions
  • Developed extensive tooling to enable better development, integration, testing and deployment experience
  • Docker experience within ECS/EKS
  • Product Engineering Experience and has worked closely with product teams
  • Worked as an application engineer or have worked very closely with application teams in the past
  • Effective communicator who can propose initiatives successfully and manage them to completion
  • Able to work closely with product engineers to understand their context and co-design appropriate solutions, which will maximize the value we’re able to deliver to customers

Some extra skills that would be awesome

  • Experience deploying Golang applications
  • Experience deploying React frontend applications on AWS
  • Blockchain experience

Some of the things we can offer you
