As the Social Media Community Coordinator, you’ll help support our communications strategy and drive the day-to-day conversation around Immortals, LA Valiant and MIBR across a variety of mediums including Weibo, Bilibili and Tieba. Your passion for esports will allow you to craft compelling, creative social media content for our fans around the globe. Your familiarity with Immortals, and specifically MIBR, means you’re up-to-speed with all our competitive happenings, and you’re eager to share your knowledge with the world.

You Are:

  • Passionate about social media: you’ve got plenty of experience across many Chinese social media platforms, including Weibo, Tieba, Bilibili and Wechat
  • You have comprehensive experience managing Chinese social networks and building communities on Weibo and Tieba
  • An esports fan: you look forward to watching matches from CS:GO and Overwatch. You’re aware of what’s going on in the scene and can easily translate the experience to the community
  • Fearless in the face of flame: you know what it’s like to deal with an upset community, and you’re not afraid to jump into the front lines when things go bad.
  • A self-starter: nothing holds you back when you have a goal in mind. When you don’t have something to do, you are self-motivated and pitching new ideas that will help propel Immortals into the future
  • Organized: You have plans, backup plans and are ready for anything that can happen. You think long-term, but can adjust on the fly. Stress does not phase you because you are prepared.
  • A writer: Your Mandarin grammar skills are top-notch, your vocabulary exquisite and your tongue quick-witted. You can tell a captivating story using both words and visuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute social media content to support overall social media and company initiatives across community engagement, competitive coverage, and customer service
  • Interact daily with and build our Chinese fanbase
  • Bond with our competitive teams and capture moments to share with fans
  • Support competitive coverage, which can take place at all hours of the day or night
  • Analyze social media analytics and trends, and identify ways to improve
  • Train Immortals and LA Valiant players to level up their social engagement

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English
  • 1+ years experience in social media, community, or communications
  • Strong familiarity of esports industry
  • Photoshop and video-editing experience
  • Available to work nights and most weekends
