LA’s premier esports organization is looking for an experienced and passionate Video Editor to produce CS:GO instructional videos. The role will require working knowledge of CS:GO and its game mechanics. In order to build on-screen assets to aid in instruction, being intimately familiar with both gaming and content production is critical. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in fast-paced (e.g., start-up/rapid growth) environments, capable of wearing multiple hats, and inspired to create the best content for fans and the gaming community. You will work closely with our passionate team of producers, editors, and developers to achieve our goal of becoming the leader in Esports video training and instructional content.

We are a tightly knit team that functions under the larger umbrella of Immortals, a global esports organization based in Los Angeles. Founded in 2015, Immortals raised strategic investment from AEG, Lionsgate, and other major investors. Our teams play competitively in the biggest gaming competitions in Super Smash Bros, Overwatch, Dota 2, CS:GO, Arena of Valor, Clash Royale, and more. Immortals strives to create a long-lasting and inclusive community of professional gamers, aspiring players, and passionate fans united by the goal of competitive success.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about storytelling and video editing
  • Have a deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Comfortable using green screen produced content
  • Some knowledge of camera gear/lighting to support our Content Producers
  • Highly organized problem solver with a “No job is too small” team-based mentality
  • Can take constructive feedback & deliver under pressure
  • An Esports fan: you are on Twitch often to watch competitions and streams. You’re aware of what’s going on in the scene

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and assemble video content from start to finish using both ingame and green screen content – helpful skills include, coloring, basic motion graphics design and animation, as well as sound editing
  • Assist in defining the direction of our content with a keen eye for aesthetics, and storytelling
  • Mastery of post production workflow: offload & ingest footage, project organization, prepping transcription files, initial scene cutting
  • Possibility of taking on more responsibility, like concepting and producing videos
