Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Content & Creativity:
- Build, execute and maintain engagement strategies on key social media platforms to build awareness, create brand evangelists and drive traffic to Outlaws O&O digital assets and attendance at Outlaws events
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (original text, photos, videos, and news) for social channels in a timely and compelling way to maximize fan engagement
- Strategize and create evergreen social content, by tapping into culturally relevant moments for the brand and OWL community that delights and surprises
- Able to collaborate with our team, coaches and third-party vendors (Banner.TV) on the distribution of all content (video, photos, graphics, news, game/player highlights)
- Develop and implement social media events and promotions for the Outlaws fan community and sponsors
- Assist with ideation and execution of social media campaigns sponsored by key partners/sponsors to ensure that all deliverables are executed flawlessly in a timely manner
- Conceive of compelling strategic content partnerships that will help us grow our audience by engaging with other like-minded celebrities, players, communities and fans that will embrace Outlaws messaging
Performance Metrics:
- Analyze all social media data and adjust content to ensure maximum engagement. If content is not performing well, craft strategy to garner the highest engagement possible
- Create a social media dashboard that helps analyze content performance to drive improvement and optimization and demonstrate success to partners
- Analyze key community engagement performance metrics (e.g. reach, engagement and sentiment and traffic to O&O assets)
- Brings a solutions-based approach to monthly metrics in order to exceed company goals
- Success will be determined by achievement of Month-over-Month/Year-over-Year Growth and UX KPI’s including: Page Views, # New Users, # Followers, Time Spent, # Subscribers, # Uniques, Shares, Click-thru and completions
Requirements:
- Experience running social media for a sports brand, preferably in the Esports space
- Understanding of social media management tools and analytics
- Ability to map out and execute comprehensive social marketing plans, promotions, advertising and SEM
- Very creative and able to conceive of inspired content ideas
- Exceptional writing skills, with strong attention to details, grammar and tone
- Basic abilities in Adobe Creative Suite and Video Editing Software and analytics
- Expected to work alongside the Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy to apply, research, and deliver emerging best practices across social platforms
- Has a strong understanding of internet and meme culture
- Able to inject a sense of humor and elite athlete sensibility in our messaging
- Ability to work weekends/ industry hours to seize news opportunities
- Passion for gaming, esports and sports
- A clear understanding of the business of Esports and the role brand messaging plays in marketing and building consumer engagement
- Is a team player and collaborative
