POSITION SUMMARY

Guildโ€™s Manager of Digital Product & Platform is a key member of the leadership team, and is responsible for growing and running the digital and social platforms of the brand globally: supporting business growth, ongoing brand positions and reputation management. As โ€œguardian of Guildโ€™s brandโ€ across all digital platforms, this role maintains the integrity of our image across the entire companyโ€™s online footprint. The Manager of Digital Product & Platform is an expert multitasker with a deep understanding of the global digital landscape.

As a strategic and tactical partner, this person thrives in a role where they are both a visionary and the doer, taking ideas from concept to execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Platform Management

  • Oversee all technical aspects of Guildโ€™s digital products and platforms including back- and front-end development
  • Key liaison between all departments for digital activity
  • Work closely with our marketing, PR and creative teams to engage with fans, customers and enhance brand loyalty to drive both engagement and revenue
  • Work in partnership with our Director of Apparel to manage all digital activations around our merchandise line and online shop
  • Manage our online academy portal closely with our Director of Academies and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage, implement and launch high profile social media profiles, communities, fan pages, and online communication strategy in collaboration with the Director of Social
  • Collaborate with the creative team to create innovative digital marketing campaigns including premium video, photo content, mobile specific content, email/newsletters, new partnerships, mobile and social apps
  • Plan and buy SEM/social/mobile advertising with ROI
  • Optimize Guildโ€™s search engine results
  • Oversee Guildโ€™s ecommerce and Shopify platforms
  • Online reputation management
  • Weekly reporting and statistics of global accounts, including social analytics overview and recommendations
  • Keep up to date with growing trends and opportunities in the tech sector

Strategic Planning

  • Manage the selection of new digital platforms such as content management, analytics, database management etc.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing use of all company digital platforms
  • Work closely with the communications team to deliver uniform messaging/issues management
  • Use data and insight to drive innovative but solid strategic thinking, adapting strategies in real time as needed
  • Quick identification and action any online issues or reputational risks
  • Other duties as may be required and assigned

Relationship Management

  • Manage external suppliers and partners providing digital software and services to Guild
  • Work in tandem with brand partners on innovative and well planned ways to grow business
  • Maintain strong working relationships and connectivity with all global social media key platforms including Instagram, Twitch, Twitter, Discord plus key Asian platforms including Weibo, WeChat, Line, Kakao and others

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8+ yearsโ€™ directly related experience in a digital platform and product role
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Digital Media related field
  • Deep understanding of Guild as an organization, of the esports marketplace and of direct competitors
  • Digital, social media and online communications experience, working in-house and digital agency side in the sports and brand industries
  • Strong technical acumen and experience managing CMS platforms, building websites and launching digital products
  • Experience with coding and front-end web development
  • Experience in managing web development projects and development agencies
  • Experience with Shopify and e-commerce platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Copywriting, insights, content ideation, global digital strategy
  • Used to working with both global central teams and local markets
  • Experience and personal interest in technology, sports, fashion, entertainment sector
  • Content and rights clearance experience
  • Entrepreneurial approach and creative thinker
  • Used to working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Discreet, diplomatic and ability to liaise at all levels
  • Experience with the key Asian social media channels and cultural knowledge are a benefit
