Our writing team

Our writers are driven to push the boundaries of dramatic storytelling in open-world games. We want players to feel hooked by our quests and characters, to enjoy dialogue that crackles, and to savor our stories long after they put down the controller. To accomplish these goals, we collaborate closely with designers, artists, animators, actors and technicians throughout the studio, and beyond.

What you will do

As Guerrilla's Copy and Game Writer, your main tasks and responsibilities are to:

  • Learn and master the complex story of a massive fictional world
  • Write clear, sharp copy about our story, characters, and world for internal and external partners
  • Support our Franchise team with a large variety of writing tasks
  • Support the Writing team with documentation and organizational tasks
  • Assist with writing game dialogue, ambient dialogue, on-screen text, faction documents, and more

Who you are

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a native English speaker with a strong background in prose and copywriting, especially for marketing
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in a copywriting role, at an agency or in a corporate B2C marketing team
  • Can share examples from past projects in which you had to deliver prompt revisions based on rapidly evolving feedback
  • Have written dialogue or narrative material for at least one video game
  • Can share 2 short samples of effective copywriting, ideally for marketing
  • Can share 1 additional writing sample (10 pages or less) demonstrating a clear understanding of game writing and skill with dialogue. A link to a short video can substitute for a written sample

Please note: This position is not remote; it is based in our studio in the heart of Amsterdam. Guerrilla offers relocation and immigration support.
