Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience coding in C/C++, Java, Python, or Go.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with numerical analytics and modeling problems.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with SQL querying tools.
  • Experience with streaming systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization framework (Pandas, Numpy, ggplot, D3) in Python, R, Javascript.

As a Software Engineer lll, you will build tools and infrastructure to provide insights into streaming quality for both internal developers and external partners. You will build an interpretable set of objective metrics for interactive streaming quality in collaboration with Google Machine Learning teams. You will have an opportunity to innovate and have a meaningful impact on both the quality of Stadia’s industry leading core streaming tech, and the development velocity of Google's external partners.
