Gfinity Digital Media is hiring! Gfinity is looking for a Head of Social who is passionate about video games! We want you to lead, create and manage the video/social content strategy across Gfinity Digital Media’s (GDM) fast-growing social channels and websites.

You will work closely with the experienced in-house social/video team to deliver and further develop the GDM video and community reach strategy - managing a close-knit team and taking ownership of the long term plan and strategy. You must be comfortable creating new, cutting-edge content to help Gfinity stand out from the crowd and have examples to illustrate this in their previous roles acompanied by examples of monetising social channels!

A proven track record of working with a commercial team to realise new revenue streams and ensure we monetise through all the possible avenues while creating outstanding content and engaging with the community.

The successful candidate will be adept with numerous analytics tools, beyond just Facebook / Instagram / YouTube Insights, comfortable providing data-led recommendations to ensure strategy is optimised. A love for tik tok a plus!

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • To analyse, report on and inform the social strategy - providing data-first recommendations to the Head of Digital Media
  • Work with commercial team to conceptualise, develop and oversee campaigns for clients
  • To steer the direction and quality of the videos in our on-site video player across our different websites, working closely with current social/video team
  • Look to improve the quality of content across social channels in GDM network
  • Develop and Deliver unique 'hero content' across each GDM-focused websites
  • Manage the day-to-day running of video production and social editorial social output

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Passion for the gaming industry with experience working in video/social
  • Experience managing a medium-sized team and delivering content strategy
  • Experience in high-level reporting and drilling down into data - per platform
  • Proven track record of original content development and commercial nous
  • Happy working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining acute attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms and how content differs across the platforms
  • Strong experience with video editing to evaluate video output
